Antonio Herrera is a photographer based in Green River, Utah. His interest in photography began shortly after his 21st birthday, during the Coronavirus lockdown. During this time Antonio took photos of the desert landscapes surrounding Green River. Upon returning to school after the lockdown Antonio took photography classes and during his final year at Snow College, he worked as a student photographer for the college’s marketing department. Upon graduating with his Bachelors in Music Antonio returned home and became a music teacher. After the passing of his grandmother Antonio began to focus on photographing desert landscapes once more as a way to connect with his grandmother’s love and appreciation for the local landscapes.
Antonio believes that analog photography is the truest way to connect with a subject. As such, he captures all of his images on film primarily using a Linhof 4×5 camera, and hand prints all of his images in a darkroom.
